Global Psychology Alliance

Global challenges require unified, global responses. As the world faces crises without precedent, more than 80 national, regional and international psychological associations, as well as scientific institutions and training programs from every continent across the world have joined together and formed the Global Psychology Alliance (GPA) to take action to elevate psychological science to address global issues too big for one association to tackle alone. Psychology is critical to every aspect of humanity at the individual and societal levels and psychologists have a crucial role in supporting health and well-being globally within a human rights framework. Bringing together experiences, knowledge, and perspectives from every region of the globe enhances our collective ability to apply psychological science to effectively address societal issues.

As the world faces crises without precedent, the Global Psychology Alliance takes action to apply psychological science to issues. Psychology is critical to every aspect of humanity at the individual, family, and societal levels and psychologists have a crucial role in supporting health and well-being globally within a human rights framework. As a coalition, the Alliance’s horizontal, inclusive approach to leadership has created a space for collaboration, creativity, and problem-solving. The Alliance has created a global community of leaders in psychology through a space that is dynamic and welcoming.

The International Society for Coaching Psychology (ISCP) joined the Global Psychology Alliance on 27th May, 2025. We will work with the member organisations in order to achieve the joint GPA goals. Our ISCP representative is Dr Stephen Palmer PhD.
